Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Kloss Gambit

The Two Knights Defence is Black's more aggressive answer to the Italian Game. The notorious Fried Liver Attack (4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.Nxf7) sacrifices a piece for a dangerous attack against the exposed king.

History & Notable Players

The Fried Liver has been known since at least the 16th century and remains one of the most dramatic attacking lines in chess.
